Privacy Policy

In short: your photos, trips and notes stay on your iPhone. No account, no ads, no cross-app tracking; only anonymous crash reports and usage statistics.

1. Information that stays on your device

Photo library metadata. Postmark reads the date, location, size and media type of items in your library to detect trips. The photos and videos themselves are only displayed on your device and are never uploaded.
Your journal. Trip names, day and photo notes, voice notes, stickers, hidden items and settings are stored locally in the app.
On-device processing. Diary text written with Apple Intelligence and the filter that hides screenshots and documents run entirely on your iPhone.

2. Information shared with service providers

Apple (Maps). To name places, the coordinates of a photo location are sent to Apple's geocoding service. No image is sent. Apple Privacy Policy.
Apple (App Store). Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple.
Google Firebase (Crashlytics & Analytics). Sends crash reports and anonymous usage events (for example “trip review finished” or “paywall opened”) with device model, OS version, app version and a random app-instance ID. Events never contain photos, locations, place names, notes or trip titles. No advertising ID is used. Firebase privacy.
RevenueCat. Verifies purchases and manages Pro access using an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID and App Store receipts. It does not receive your photos, locations or journal. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

3. What we do not do

We do not create accounts, show ads, sell data, or track you across other apps and websites. We do not use your data to train models.

4. Permissions

Photos: to find trips; you can choose limited access.
Microphone: only while you record a voice note.
Notifications: only for the reminder before a free trial ends.

5. Retention and deletion

Data stays until you delete it. Use Scan → Reset everything to remove all Postmark data, or delete the app. Your original photos are never changed unless you choose to save an album or a share card to Photos.

6. Your rights

Because we don't hold your personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, export or delete on your behalf beyond purchase records kept by Apple and RevenueCat. Contact us with any request and we will help.

7. Children

Postmark is not directed at children under 13.
